Care Quality Commission registration

29th October 2019

As you might have noticed, we haven’t been on our blog for a while. This is because we were very busy with Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration. The great news is we have been granted the registration!

What is CQC?

CQC is an official body who oversees all healthcare providers, making sure they operate in a way which is safe for patients and staff, sustainable, evidence-based and in line with guidelines and regulations.

Why is it so important to have a CQC registration?

The registration certificate officially confirms that the provider has been visited and vetted. It means that the provider satisfies CQC broad requirements, including company policies, staff training, equipment safety and so on. CQC works for patients, giving them reassurance, and for providers, giving them guidelines.

Why is it so important for us?

Algocells is a new and relatively small provider. We started our clinical activity under the umbrella of Dolan Park Hospital, whos CQC registration was covering our activities as well. From now on, we are fully independent. This independence gives us satisfaction of a great achievement, as well as responsibility for our patients who trust us with their health and wellbeing. (zk)
